Re: 7471 Mars Exploration Rover $29.99 at eToys

(...) Unfortunatly I didn't see any of those sets at 20% off :( They must of removed it already. However, that new star wars set still looked available, and I also stumbled onto the UCS Snowspeeder is now showing on sale for $99!: (URL) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: vinyl tape Re: Santa Fe El Capitan Hi-Level

(...) Maybe it's just me, but I am planning to do mine (if and when, not going to preannounce anything!) in black. I'm not seeing this color difference as huge enough to warrant using tape or paint.   vinyl tape Re: Santa Fe El Capitan Hi-Level

(...) True, I should also mention that most sign shops carry a wide selection of vinyl decal sheet. This stuff is thinner then electrical tape, and has less shinkage. I've also used liner tape. Commonally avalible in 1/8" and 1/4", which is extremly (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Eastern Block - Support Frigate Alyeska

(...) My comments are similar to those I already see. The dark gray greebling over smooth red surfaces is nice, as is the cockpit. I know what you mean about getting bored with large ships, which probably explains the plain docking points, but they (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks, The drawers were a necicesity since I had to transport the board around. Well, That and it just made the set look that much nicer. (...) Oops! When I took the pictures I had just placed the peices on the board.. I don't actually play (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

Plano 3700 & Sterilite 66 qt - other recommended combinations?

Just a FYI, for those of us on the small end of the sort/store spectrum. I just discovered that 12 of the Plano 3700 boxes will stack very nicely in a Sterilite 66 qt storage bin. I can now get much (most? I said it was small) of my sorted (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Castle Chess Set

Hi Jeff VW, I've seen your pics come by on Brickshelf and really liked them. The drawers made into the board are a nice touch. Nice pattern as well! Only one remark as a chess player: you really should change the king and queen (on both sides: the (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: VIKINGS!!!!!!!(Re: was:LEGO new crane)

(...) On the giant dump truck, do those tires look like Power Puller tires, or something else ? Also, do you think the bed of the truck is constructed, I don't think they would make a a single Lego piece that big, would they ? (21 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

  Castle Chess Set

(...) I didn't run, I went to my grandmother's funeral. But hey, thanks for asking. As for my criticisms, yes, I do give them to my "cronies".
