  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) The standard doesn't explain this very well, because I'm really not sure how to write it. A module can be any size, but the input and output should be on opposite sides, with the front of the input being no more than 32 studs from the back of (...)   RE: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) I happen to have a LEGO basketball set on my desk... Eyeing it up against a ruler, it is 14mm in diameter. Depending on design choice, one might consider using only LEGO basketballs or soccer balls because other materials would have different (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Parts for old 12V train motor (Set #7865)

Hi. I recently split open one of my red 12v train motors and I need the following motor parts to get it runnable again. One brush and brush spring (from side B of the motor, I guess the brushes on each side is identical, but I'm not sure). Also I (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: The Beeesh

E, what can I say after all these years of great Mecha? The Beesh is yet another fine addition to your family of biomechanical brethren.   Re: The Beeesh

(...) Eric, woof. This has memories of Gomgile for me. Head shape, color, fingers. Beeesh has a much slimmer figure though. Has Gomgile been working out? Dude right on with the eyes. Coooool. Fingers seem a little strange on Beeesh, otherworldly but (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: RTL R(whatever)

(...) But ultimately, no one wants to do it. :( The three of us should just make a demonstration project on making little cars or ducks for the hell of it and not bother using it as an official rtl thing.   Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) I'd really recommend against using anything but LEGO balls. If you just want to play around and test, one good place to get a couple balls are the LEGO NBA sets. I've seen them on sale all over. Using any other type of balls will not give you (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) Well, it's LEGO - it's just a tad smaller than 2 studs in diameter. If you've got a marble or wooden ball that will roll between two walls two studs apart (clearance about 1.5 mm on each side) you've got the size. The only real problem is (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: The Great Ball Contraption

(...) Oh, I like that idea. I want to do that at Brickfest... :) If you chose to do this as RTLx, I'd suggest using soccer/basket balls.
