  brickOS port to FreeBSD

Hi, I'm looking at porting brickOS to FreeBSD. I guess the first step is to get the crosscompiler etc. going. Which version of gcc and binutils is the best to use? I searched a bit but it isn't very clear which version to use, except that lots of (...) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  What does RCX stand for?

RCX'rs, I know it is a silly question and one that has probably been asked before, but what does RCX stand for? If I could find the answer, I wouldn't have to ask. Does it stand for Robotics Command System or Robotics Command Extrodinare? What? Todd (21 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Is lego *truly* unlimited? (some thoughts)

(...) I received a little LEGO brochure years ago that said something like 8 standard 2x4 bricks can be joined together (standard LEGO building techiques--not these 'rotate on a stud, therefore infinite) over a million different ways. That's 8 (...) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: RCX has a fast clock, was Re: Rolling ball clock revisited

(...) As David Ward suggested me, the oscillator is most probably equipped with a ceramic resonator with built-in capacitors. This explains the low precision of the clock (tolerance for ceramic resonators is in the 1% range while for crystals it is (...) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
