Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) The competition has two age groups, under 13 and 13 and over (Junior and Senior). The finals will have 10 Grand Prize winners: 8 juniors and 2 seniors. They're wisely seeding it so the kids don't get trounced by the adults. And they're making (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

While I think this is a good idea I have found the software fragile. I cannot save at all, it just shuts down the program. I find it very difficult to line up the 8x8 plates/roadplates next to each other. I am going to try reinstalling the software (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: A duck, a city, and a centerpiece.

(...) Thanks. You know what's funny? You're not the first person to ask me that. :) I used to be a cartoonist, but it's been over 10 years since I drew a daily cartoon strip. My fiancee said I should use photos of these guys as the characters in a (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  5359 spoted at Target

While wondering thru Target the other day, I spied a small covey of Block-O-Dile's snoozing peacefully on a top shelf. Very cool set. A brick-vac for the munchkin aged fans ;) Set 5359, scanned $14.99 IIRC Ray (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) If it's 5% of the "profit" then the designer might conceivably ending up owing money to LEGO... ;) Why wouldn't retail outlets carry them? Micro town sets? Excellent point-of-sale impulse buy object, especially since it looks like they'll fit (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

Yeah, a Mac or Linux version would be nice, but we will never see them. I don't have any inside info, but I would assume that TLC's programmers did the following things: * Deeply based the software on proprietary Microsoft-specific techonology that (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam

Wow, wow, wow, (...) If you could get those flat techic plate click hinges, those would probably suit you well for the knees in this scale. (SW AT-AT or AT-TE joints) I should say though, I think you captured the Gundam quite well! (...) Don't (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: A Christmas Train

(...) Ouch! Thanks for the advice Mat. I had no idea that the caboose didn't match the passenger train. Like you mentioned I went mostly for color. Do you happen to have a link to a British BW Caboose? (...) Agreed. Just like all LEGO enthusiats I (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.us.cedarlug, FTX)

Re: Some small Good-Night-MOC - An escritoire

Hi Jojo, This writing desk is very nice. Where did you get all of those 1x1 brown round plates? Also, any chance we could get a photo of this deconstructed to see the technic connection that you used? The inkwell and lantern are also wonderful. Ben (...)
