Re: Rocket science, & some MOC ideas (Was: Combat strategies and tactics in space)

I found your post very interesting, and you proposed some nice ideas of MOCs. I really liked the idea of laser propelled vessel (a bit like the space elevator project) But, after all, this is science fiction, right? That makes one relatively free to (...)   Re: LEGO Article in GAMES magazine

Attack of the Snowman Clones! That cover looks great, Eric. Excellent idea to use Bruce's sphere for a snowman. And quite the honor to get a six-page write in Games! I very much look forward to picking up a copy! Much congratulations, -Brendan (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Are *we* part of TLG's problem?

(...) A lot of you do that, but a lot of us still buy new sets at new set prices (okay, I'm guilty of taking advantage of a few conveniently timed sales to pick up brand-new releases at 20% off a few times, but...). Besides, once a store buys the (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego changes CEO after new losses

(...) Okay... They will be using the same molds so part quality should remain similar. (This says nothing for color consistency or actually getting the right parts in each bag/box) They probably won't save much money because they've often said that (...)   Re: Are *we* part of TLG's problem?

(...) You say many good things, but I believe that this is a stretch. When a store decides to carry LEGO products, they make their best guess how much they can sell. This is typically called 'up front buying' and can happen many months in advance (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)
