Re: LDGlite and LPub (and maybe ldview?

(...) LDView has a nice feature where you can specify the default color for parts. I use rgb(128,128,80); it's close to grey, but tinted enough to easily differentiate grey parts from color 16. Andy (22 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LDGlite and LPub (and maybe ldview?

(...) Ahh, nevermind. That didn't really work either. Applying the opaque/transparent only filter right before dumping the png is simple, and looks good enough for me. I'm going with that and forget about the icky sharp outer edges for now. They (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Crate Contraption Standard

David, Thanks for the input. I think the goal for the Great Ball Contraption will be different from your Crate Contraption for a couple reasons. For example, I don't expect this to run constantly. I'm hoping we'll be able to make it work for (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: Lattice windows revisited and modified (wasRe: lattice windows)

(...) Great ideas! But I just want to point something out for making it "realistic". That is ALL great churches and cathedrals with stained glass do not show the glass color on the outside. What that means is from the inside one sees lots of color, (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

Hey Marc, This is great! I'm flattered to have any role in inspiring this. I like the computer soluton you used. It's so readily recognizable even without using printed tiles for the keys or screens.   Re: lattice windows

Hey Daan, These are wonderful (also Marc and Erik). I'm going to have to incorporate a stained glass window into my next MOC. I just got a bunch of 1x4 lattice fences at Pick-a-Brick and was wondering what I was going to do with them. Now I know. (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.space)

Hi Peter, Here's an airlock I came up with. The pics are in sequence as the minifig enters the airlock, steps on the rotating plateform, and exits the airlock into the ship: (3 URLs) Basically, the airlock is a half-cylinder piece on a turntable. Hey Mike, This is great! I love the chrome gold highlights on the furniture and the lobster design, especially. Good to see the vignette craze spreading. :) Bruce (22 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Lattice windows revisited and modified (wasRe: lattice windows)
