  Re: Pneumatic Technic after 1987

Alan G. Carmack wrote in message ... (...) stress (...) would (...) My native language is Dutch. But then again us dutchmen tend to pronounce any word that sounds slightly unfamiliar as English. So, it's "Teknik" for me, stressing the first (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 2 Things...

(...) Oh. I think I know what you mean now. There's really nothing odd going on there. You're just seeing the natural width of the articles -- they're all 80-column text. It's probably just a bit misleading because they're shown in the default (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

[FS/FT] Pirate, castle and space sets

Hi, I've got the following sets that I would like to either: a) swap for opened SW sets (Trilogy or EP1), figures or b) sell 6034 6039 6085 6042 6245 6247 6265 6989 Before you get too excited, I have to tell you that these sets are not in a perfect (...)   Re: Rolykits

I've been pretty happy with a storage container that I got from my local hardware store, manufactured by Arko-Mils, Inc: (URL) or more specifically ... (URL) I was using one of their "large portable organizers" (I paid about $17 US) to hold all of (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) That would make life happier. (...) Wow. Has anyone ever told you that you're amazing, Todd? I know where my nomination for 'webmaster of the decade' is going. (...) Every single message I've looked at does it. I've taken a peek at a couple (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Fallingwater

(...) Thanks! I have no idea where I got the clear slopes. Old BASIC sets maybe? My collection covers about 15 years (back to the duplo blocks which make up part of the base :), so that's my best guess. (...) Possibly, although a windsheild is much (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) Yes, but for reasons too complicated to explain, not 'til later tonight. To hazard an opinion, I would suggest that size=-1/-2 is just too small for most uses. (...) More or less, yes.   Re: IR questions

(...) Only transmitting keeps the tower alive, at least according to my tests. If absolutely necessary, an occasional 0xff sent by the PC will keep the tower alive; this will result in only a start bit being sent, which ought to occupy very little (...)   RE: Fallingwater

WOW! This is a really great building! Nice combination of LDRAW and real photos. And HOW did you get a hold of all those clear slopes for the waterfall? I wonder if the odd windshield could be interspersed with the water to give it a blue tinge? (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Jar Jar will probably be back

(...) Oh. [looks around] Umm, where? Steve (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 2 Things...

(...) I could make the subject line one size larger in the compact listings, if that would help. It's at SIZE="-2" now, and it could probably go to SIZE="-1" and still fit 20 messages on a 800x600 laptop display. (...) OK, give that a shot now. (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  serial interface building

A group of us are building the HB and we are at the serial interface building stage. When we perform the test on the serial interface to get +9 or +10 volts, we are all getting values of up to +8.5 only. Is there a problem or is this normal? Thanks (...)   A lurkers opinion (formerly: Re: 2 Things...)

OK, you've forced me out of lurkerdom with the new interface. I realize as a lurker, my opinions may be less valuable than some, but since you seem to be open to suggestions...   Re: New MOC:TGV in Orange

(...) So far I've seen that shock absorber in 4559 Cargo Railway (the gates are sprung) and 2160 Crystal Scavenger (the "drill" arms can swing and are sprung). I'm only 95% sure of 2160 (it might have been another set I inventoried recently - need (...) (27 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Fallingwater

I finally put together a web page presentation of my model of Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright. Thanks again to Jacob for the fractal landscape generator.
