  Re: Just wondering...

(...) Well, if Prescott is south east of the Twin Cities, then Tuesday night there is going to be a Minneapolis Lego Fest you could attend. Check out the news group lugnet.loc.us.mn.msp. I would point you directly at the article but I haven't (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

  Path to put files

With my latest model I had to create nothing more nothing less than 13 'mock-up' parts reaching a total of 17 DATs lying around with my models in the Models directory. Isn't there a better place where I can put those? They are not models, they are (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  External Power Port Problem..?

Esteemed Colleagues, I have two RCXs, both of which have stopped responding to power applied to the external power port. With batteries, they function correctly; with a 9.6v Lithium Ion battery pack attached to the external port, nothing. This has (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: multi-device output controller (fwd)

How about an RCX to RS232 connection to use off the shelf components? Check out this link. (URL) sells a simple serial servo contol that services up to 8 motors via an rs232 port ($49.95). I have seen a simple version adapted for a Palm Pilot for (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: SW price comparisons.....

(...) The worst place has to be the shop in the Howard centre in Welwyn Garden City. Tie-tighter/Y Wing £44. X-Wing £29 I'd have to say even at the best prices that have been quoted the SW sets strike me as pretty rip-off level prices. For example, (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

SW at last in TRU Hayes....

Subject says it all... As stated by someone else, TIE is 2 pounds cheaper than LLW at 37.99. They did have them all, tucked away in the Technic. They still have loads of football starter sets, too. All of them at 15.99....... (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  SW price comparisons.....

Compiled from availability reports..... Tesco is the place to go for Speederbikes and Landspeeders. £1<LLW TRU is the place to go for Y-wing vs TIE and Snowspeeder £2<LLW (TIE) £=LLW (SS) Beatties for x-wing £=LLW (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Browser Add-on?

In (URL) one can read: lugnet.cad.dat Special non-discussion group for posting LDraw .DAT files, which can be viewed through the web interface using a special browser add-on [...] Where is this browser add-on? Laurentino Martins (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: multi-device output controller

Thanks for checking this out. This is important to know. I assume, then, that the duty cycles are 1/8 through 8/8 as well as off, which would be 0/8. Can anybody verify this (with a scope or something)? I have long wondered whether the duty cycles (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Who had the 5571 Inventory?

Unless of course Lego rereleases it due to popular demand from lugnet ... :) You realise of course that your mentioning the set made me go and look it up on lugnet. Which made me think 'wow - that is a cool set - I want it'. Which will of course (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)
