There are 1x14 Technic bricks, the part number is a five digit number (32018), which indicates to me that it is a relatively new part. I have a few of these, but not many. You know, I think we in NC would be better served if there were a lugnet.loc.us.nc triangle (and possibly: lugnet.loc.us.nc triad).
