Pictures of (very?) old Lego Idea book

Hi all! I've tried to take pictures (no scanner yet!) of my old Lego idea book. It must be from about 1960, I'm not sure exactly when - perhaps someone else can give more details... (URL) page is slow, and the picture quality is not the best, but (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.announce)

  Re: anyone out there?

(...) Hmm, As my web pages show, I'm primarily into space (though I have a soft-spot for castle sets), but even as a kid, I remember never being too interested in the "Official" Lego models. They stayed built for about 20 minutes before they got (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur)

  Re: Triangle folks

You know, I think we in NC would be better served if there were a lugnet.loc.us.nc triangle (and possibly: lugnet.loc.us.nc triad). Having seperate groups for durham and raleigh really isnt that useful, since we're only 20 minutes away, and having a (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur)

Re: Microfig TIE Advanced Prototype (Darth Vader's TIE FIghter)

(...) Hmmm, Good point. I wasn't really paying attention I guess. I'll take alook at this. Though, I think that the TLG model is not quite right either. I remember having the original Die-cast model of this ship and it wasn't quite *that* disk (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: blasters in sw sets

I read in an article on the new Star Wars line that the initial classic set release had the fastest turn around time at lego ever - 1 year. I would guess that the number of new pieces in the sets would be limitted by that short turn around. They (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Twin Cities LEGO minifest 033099

Sadly (or maybe not so sadly) I will be in Florida during our first mini Legofest.[1] I propose, however, a monthly or bi-monthly meeting to get together. A mid-May affair sounds good; I'm toast for June, but July is good. We still are up in the air (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mn.msp)

  Re: blasters in sw sets

(...) One of these comes with the Snow Speeder set for the Hoth Rebel Soldier that is included in that set. Although I would not call it the best blaster in the world. Seeing that they have Guns in the Adventurers sets I hope somewhere along the way (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: people i would most like to build with...

(...) Wow, I didn't know you were so close! Barbara and I are going to Mesa Verde in Colorado this summer or fall -- wanna meet up with some Legos? :-, (...) I find that if I surround myself with talent, it gets much easier for me to, erm, "borrow" (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build)

  Re: Nice Models all...

(...) I have lots of Freestile bricks but when I was collecting sets it was primarily Classic Space although I don't have all the sets I have a fairly large collection. I would say that most of my bricks are Freestile (or became freestile over time (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: part: technic connector cross

(...) Whoa! The "Technic Connector Cross" is NOT the 3651.dat Technic Connector minus the studs. The shape of these two pieces is vastly different. -- Terry K -- (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: blasters in sw sets

The old Classic Space sets had a piece that looked a hell of a lot like a blaster, The Official instructions showed it being used like some sort of camera but if you turned it around it made a greate Blaster/Rifle Check out some of the old sets like (...)   Re: Any SW in VA?

"Maria W. Campbell" zapped: (...) I went in last night (3/22) and even the shelf stickers were gone! I guess I can't rely on the TRU info from TRU people, either. She said that the trucks would be in on Thursday and they showed up on Wednesday. Good (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.va.new)

Re: Twin Cities LEGO minifest 033099

(...) So who else is going? What faces will I finally get to put to names? So what is the traffic like from 5 to 6 pm on 35W? Everybody is bringing stuff to show off I hope. I'll bring a box of six wide fire trucks. And John Neal, if you show up, I (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mn.msp)

  Re: help with ICC11

(...) Hi Gary, I haven't used ICC with the HB but I do use it with the miniboard. I've had good luck with dlm which I believe is available from the HB site. Karl Lunt (who wrote the brilliant SBasic compiler for the 6811) has a version of motorola's (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Star Wars @ Tesco (Roytson, Herts.)

(...) I'm sure Ben will answer in due course, but aren't they the official box pictures? (...) HP scanners at 75dpi seem very good for LEGO printed stuff. Never any moire/screen and pretty sharp. (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
