  Re: Castle 200?.........please.

(...) I wouldn't mind going back to light grey, really. Tan would also be good for some castles. White would I think be too bright for most castles - even the White Tower in the Tower of London isn't all that white. More pieces in some of the new (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Massive Thought...

I have the UNICEF stuff up on my page, at: (URL) the bottom blurb...what does it say? 3000 sets made or so!. This holds promise, that small runs are _possible_, even if not _likely_. James Powell (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Welcome Tomas! Thanks for posting. It is gratifying to hear every once in a while that someone in LD really is listening in (at least in this group). -John (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

(...) No, as I said before, out of simple disinterest. If I build a copy of something someone else built, what is the point of discussing it? What purpose could discussing it possibly serve? What would I gain as the poster, and what would people (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Castle 200?.........please.

(...) Heh. I'd settle for no new elements and just non-juniorized castles like back in the day... sigh... Oh yes, and no more black castles. How about tan? Or white? Tan & white arches galore! Tan & white extreme slopes! Heck, all varieties of tan & (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

Hello LUGNET, I wanted to let you all know that LEGO Direct is paying attention! There are a lot of discussions and meetings going on inside TLC right now about the issues mentioned in this thread. Hopefully we'll be able to post here sometime soon (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct) !!

(...) Because you most likely wouldn't be interested. If someone else creates something, and posts it to Lugnet/Brickshelf/the internet in general, I wouldn't see the reason to post pictures of my copy of it. What's the point? If I think it's (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Hah! Man, I am so glad you said this instead of me. I have been laughing out loud for months over this... =) Anyway, maybe it's ironically fitting -- it kinda says it all. I dunno. People here get SO serious about stuff. I agree that giving (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: "No Contact" Homebrew Train Sensor for Mindstorms

(...) No, there is no apparent decline in the sensitivity of the reed switch when it is encased in LEGO. In fact, the switch that I bought from Radio Shack was originally enclosed in a plastic housing, which I removed to reduce the bulk of the (...)   Re: Desirable parts (was Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts)

I agree with Tom, I doubt there is anyone with a larger inventory of rare LEGO parts than I have. Yet I am giddy with anticipation about getting more parts that are considered rare. Case in point: sloped bricks --- I have 140 regular sloped 2x2 blue (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: The Imperials have hit Milwaukee...

(...) I swung by Kenosha WalMart last night (the 6th) again since I was just down the road at Sherwin Williams. Well anyhow there were no Junkyards, but they did have 2 Shuttles and 4 TIEs hidden way up on the top shelf. So that solved my problem (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.us.wi)

(...) You know, I was curious about this. So I emailed my friend Neil-- (as an aside here, Dave knows Neil, but to bring the rest of you up to date: I went to college with Neil, and we still play RPGs and wargames together on a regular basis.   Castle 200?.........please.

Castle lovers, Like you, I am hoping that the lack of a new castle theme in 2001 doesn't mean the end of the castle theme for good. On that note, what new elements would you like to see in any upcoming castle themes? The Pikeman's helm (most likely (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

(...) A HUGE point. It kind of reminds me of Duchamp's "ready-mades", or whatever -- the placement of a urinal in a museum as if he had sculpted it himself. Legos can be seen as a kind of medium, but it's a very dictatorial one at that... In my own (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Eh? Copyright does equal patent; they're two separate animals. Go take a picture with a camera. Is that photo Kodak's (or Fuji's in my case) now? Or Nikon's?
