Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

(...) I'm not sure this is completely true, inasmuch as the desirable parts have intrinsic value (contrast with highly desirable collectible stamps). I for one will always value train windows at a non zero amount, because I actually use them in (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

(...) Well said, Lars! That's it exactly! I think this is the stance most in the GoB take. If you'll recall, there have been people in the past who copied my first publicly sold model. That's fine by me, and I said so at the time, as they were doing (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Probe Droid Pics

I know I've seen pics of a lego imperial probe droid. This one was good and was a little larger than a minifig. The top was either 2x2 or 4x4. It had a 1x4 black antenna as a leg which was how it stood. I believe I saw the model at Brickshelf. Does (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Desirable parts (was Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts)

(...) You're joking, right? Garage doors are desirable (highly). If they start selling them Bulk, they're STILL desirable. To BUILD with. I don't amass certain parts because they are desirable (that would be silly, as it would cost me way too much (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: 18-inch Lego Minifigures

(...) Yeah I'd love to buy one of those too! For those of you in the Vancouver area, I believe Eatons has a few of these minifigures in their toy department (for display purposes only, of course). Bryan (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: MLCAD Suggestions

(...) I suggest a DLL plugin system like Photoshop. MLCad could search the directory it was executed from for files with the appropriate file extension. These files would be loaded as DLLs. These could have handlers for returning a name to be added (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: LEGO Maniacs' guide on adequate.com

(...) Maybe you were thinking of the rec.toys.lego review site run by Joshua Delahunty (no relation to me). Unfortunately, that site hasn't had new reviews in a few years. I've got some other new reviews written and submitted in the last couple days (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.publish)

  Re: 18-inch Lego Minifigures

You mean one of these: (URL) appear to be for "internal" use only. In fact the cardboard boxes that they come in are marked "For Display Purposes Only". The LEGO stores have a small number of them that they use for displays. I've never seen or heard (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
