The NatWest will open a Euro account, but you have to have a sterling current account as well. They will allow you to open both at the same time if necessary. There are charges on foreign currency accounts, but for 1999 these will be waived for Euro (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

During a chat with the owner of my local Shell station, he told me that the Lego promotion had been 2 years in the making! Apparently, the plan was to launch in time for Christmas 1997, but some aspects were not in place to meet the launch deadline, (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
