Does anyone know how to get back issues of Lego magazines? There's a strange dearth of contact Email addresses on the Lego web site. (26 years ago, 2-Aug-00, to lugnet.service)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

(...) Thanks! (...) Not if you used an omnidirectional laser sensor. Picture, instead of only one face of paper, a paper cylinder. There would be a tube of paper mounted on top of a circular LEGO piece (or *pieces* arranged in a circle) with a paper (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  New Catalogue

New Catalogue I am rather reliably formed that a new catalogue will be released imminently. The twist is that the whole of Europe will have the same catalogue.. and the same product line! The only exception to the uniform distribution will be Scala (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.eu, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) No, Lego asked Todd not to publish information they consider "confidential", and he agreed to not do that. You're still free to discuss it. But, if you want to *publish* it somewhere, you'll have to find a publisher that won't honor Lego's (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

New theme suggestion - Roman Era

Dear Lego, I think a good idea for Lego would be the Ancient Roman Empire. It could be somewhat historical too (educational?) Santosh PS. And trains! more realistic trains too. (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  New Adventurers Themes

In my opinion, the Adventurers theme should stay in its time period, at least vaguely, of very-late-nineteenth through early-twentieth century. Some may say that the new "Jurassic Park" dinosaur theme strays from that, but except for a few (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) Either way, the problem is at Target. Once it's out, it's news. Frankly, I find it silly when companies "crack down" on things like this. It's their own fans they're hurting -- and it's the most rabid fanatical ones who *care* about stuff like (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Magazines

I'm a new LEGO user but I'm trying to catch up fast (kicking myself for missing the whole Pirates line). I love the Adventurers! I'm grabbing as many Amazon and Egypt sets as I can still find. I subscribed to the Lego club a few months ago, but (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: eBay Outrageous prices!

In case anyone's wondering... This auction ended at $305!!! "sobafett" ended up the "winner." i got in touch with the second-highest bidder--at $295--who now knows better than to overbid. I let him know that we weren't being a bunch of obnoxious (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: When we gonna BrikWar?

(...) Drugstores, schmugstores! Who's gonna' game? So far the only affirmative I have is Drew. What about the rest of you? If the timing is bad, let me know.   Re: Newly revised and updated web page

  Censors / information

Sure is a lot of deletion of posts going on lately. I thought the whole idea of a private site was that it was not affiliated or endorsed by TLG. This give you freedom to say things they would not agree with. This week, (the catalog issue in (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)
