Info req on Vintage space helmets

Dear AFOL's, I have several vintage space helmets (they have straight sides, not curved like modern helmets). Does anyone know when these were used? (~1977-~1983?) Also some seem to have the dimples for a visor, but none of my modern visors work. (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Technic & robotics-compatible LEGO ZNAP clearance at TRU

(...) Do you know WHEN the mark-downs happened? I was at my local TRU this morning and looked at the Znap and there were no marked reductions. (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.technic, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Info req on Vintage space helmets

(...) They were standard until 1987 (classic space, castle and town) in a variety of colors. The dimples were for the castle knights old helm visors (very pricey nowadays). To my knowledge the dimples were not used for any other purpose. The old (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Technic & robotics-compatible LEGO ZNAP clearance at TRU

(...) My experience with Znap has been "mixed". Certainly, I couldn't've done my ferris wheel without those huge 1/8th-circle pieces. But I found it impossible to build a suitable support frame for it with Znap: the plastic is softer than Technic, (...)   Layton Toys R Us has LEGO ZNAP for 50% off

I stopped by the Layton TRU tonight (7/20) and noticed that ZNAP sets are on sale for 50% off. There was an abundance of inventory on an end cap. The best deal appeared to be for a ZNAP set with Technic motor and battery box: $10. Ashley (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ut)

Re: New Lego Soft (only in Dacta)

(...) too (...) write (...) Not to mention would have the space for them. We've got 30-something of those plastic Chub(s?) Baby-Wipes Bricks (imported from the USA IIRC) and they really really really annoy me spacewise, whether stacked up or all (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.dacta, lugnet.general)

  Lego CAD and books

Hi, I'm new to this Mindstorms business and was wondering if you experienced folks could give me a couple of pointers: - Is there a useful, usable Lego CAD/Design program out there somewhere which will work under Windows 98/NT? - What's a (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.robotics)

New Advent Calendar spotted in Utah: Set 2250

Tonight while checking the latest clearance wave at Target, I noticed the year 2000 advent calendar, set number 2250. The set includes 234 pieces. The printing on the face of the calendar is significantly different from the 1999 calendar and depicts (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.announce)

Re: Best Buys of Technic in Aus?

Thankyou David for a very helpful answer! (...) I think the 8448 was TRU too but we don't have TRU in Tas. Does anyone who frequents these stores know of any that have either of these sets? If so, I'd appreciate an email with the store location and (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
