(...) I think a quiet word in the store managers ear along the lines of "Get your hand off it!" and a showing of a couple of K-Mart receipts would be in order. Pete Callaway (26 years ago, 30-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

That price is nearly as bad as the $12.95(?) for 4910 [The store has since closed], and Targets continuing $45.95 for 6474(?) Digger I mentioned a little while ago. Also, Toykingdom at broadmeadows has 5561 for about $128, down from its RRP of (...) (26 years ago, 30-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) No, makes perfect sense to me! I support giving people good deals, but what I would hate to see is the set left in the store because no one local spoke up for it. It's too rare and valuable to let some random mundane get it and feed the pieces (...) (26 years ago, 30-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

I need some #2 and #6 angle bricks for my current project, say 10 of each. It doesn't matter what colour they are. Can anybody help please? Regards, Conrad Venn (Twickenham, UK) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

In lugnet.loc.au, Peter Callaway writes: <snip> (...) Rest Assured that it wasn't me. I've been very quiet on the Lego buying up until the Markets find. Missed all the K-mart/Target sales too. But I think i still ended up with some bargains over the (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) I think if TLC eventually make a Yoda fig it will be a one-piece cast item like Sebulba, or perhaps a two-piece (green head with big ears and tan or brown body), not an actual minifig. That is, I hope they don't make Yoda from a minifig. (...) (26 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)
