(...) Depends on the set - if it's Model Team, 25% off is usually great. If it's Town Jr., forget it (they are often passable even at 50% off). (...) TRU has been pretty lame lately re: clearances. Multiple local stores have had Time Cruisers sets (...) (26 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Hmm, this may be not quite What you are after... I designed a strategy game many years ago intending to make a paper/cardboard game w/ counters. Eventually, I gave up and then realized that Lego pieces would make the ultimate boards/pieces for (...) (26 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.games)
