(...) Yes, my Xcam Anywhere is the same. The Xcam2 (The compact one) doesn't have that. It's has this layered entry way to the lens. It's supposed to be preset or auto focus. The FIRST competition for 1999 held ten "official" state contests IIRC, with hopes of increasing that number for next year.
