(...) And as far as I can tell, it looks like the current extendible ladder appeared in Fabuland, and had a 2nd base part (look at 3638). Also check out the ladder in 3637. This set has one spiral staircase on the last car, and it is currently on sale through shop at home. 6497 Twisted Time Train $38.50 $19.75 ((URL) have only seen the spiral stairs in black and light pink. Yes, I was told the additional discount would be applied to all red tag (clearance) items. You might have to check that they are still running this discount though.
