| One good source for mechanical parts and stock material is Small Parts Inc. They have a nice catalog with lots of extra information - a must have for robotics experimenters, IMHO. | (...) When I used to build aluminum robots I bought it at the hardware store. They usually have racks of metal, steel, aluminium, and sometimes copper and brass. | Hi, Does anyone know of a good place to get material for building a frame for a robot - preferably aluminum? This is for a robot who's overall size is app. 12 inches by 12 inches so it needs to be something like 3/4 inch channel with some thickness (...) | The Wavecom Jr. from RFLink (~170$ for a xmit/receive pair) does color video and stereo audio in the 2.5Ghz band. Much better than the 900Mhz stuff. Can get it from Sharper Image (1-800 something...call 1800 555 1212 and ask). Can run off 12V (...) (28 years ago, 4-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| The SPI (synchronous peripheral interface) does not do normal RS-232 (aka "asynchronous serial") in hardware. you must write an assembly language driver to do the timing. at some point in january i plan to release a 1200 baud output driver. if (...)
