Re: ldglite (ldlite for OpenGL and Linux) new stuff

(...) Actually the Windows version of LeoCAD takes 0.35 seconds to render on my P2 350 with a TNT card (the Linux version should be more a less the same speed). I don't use display lists, I use vertex buffers or CVA's if the driver supports it. (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Legos get you into college

(...) Getting into medical school is quite different from getting through it. I couldn't care less how my doctor got in, as long as he has to get through it to the usual standards, and pass the same exams as everyone else. (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Train nose-pieces

Re: Rush: "Lego is a Tool for 4 year olds"

OK Scott. Somehow I knew that your conservativism would lead you to agree with Rush. I suppose if Robert Bork said LEGO was a Danish commie plot, you would agree??   Re: 12V servo motors

Since the HB battery is only 9.6 V, a 12 V motor would most likely draw too much current and pop the circuit breaker (or worse).
