I heard a discussion about this on Radio 5 yesterday. The whole thing is a sham I think: Leading toy retailers get together and make up awards at a quiet time of the year to boost sales. The opinion of the public or kids was not considered... only (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)
