  Half price 8448 from Argos

Hi All, Argos have just changed catalogue and the new one doesn't have the 8448 in it. I just called Argos Direct and ordered an 8448 for £37.45 (about £41 including delivery). Happy shopping! Regards, Conrad. (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Character Subcategories

(...) p ~ i think interesting allowances could be made so that "gypsies and nomads" could be added to the list. their Realm could be made to "float" over unoccupied Realm spaces. interesting, no? later ~ craig~ (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  the Balladeers of Castle World

hello, all ~ well, CW is on my mind 24 hours a day, and i'm working on it about 4-5 hours a day! it would be more if i didn't have two other (paying) jobs. i'm truly loving every mind-boggling minute of it! the mapping and storytelling systems are (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Positioning

Well, it seems that you all want this to be flexible. How I understand it is that you will have to do at least some preperation to use this landmark system. Now I was thinking about Marco's idea-put a grid of IR beams on the floor, and use the (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Positioning

Well, I can tell the robot to turn 45 degrees using timing but it's not precise enough. It would be something about 43-47 degrees. I could use a rotation sensor (but I don't have one) to increase accuracy but there will always be a smal error. After (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Character Subcategories

I'm a bit late talking on the subject, but I seem to remember some of the posts brought up a list along the lines of: outlaw ruler soldier [etc - for brevity] This of course, brought up the stuff of Whether a soldier was in a standing army, or (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Honk if your debugging?

Hi! (...) Yup, that's why I use the datalog. Ok, I am one of those weirdos that prefer core-debugging over stepping through your source, that might explain it a bit ... bye, Georg (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: Cheap American shot (Was: NEW Mindstorms set shown (with picture!))

Jezek, you are stereotyping and generalizing Americans FAR too much here. I would believe that one as educated as yourself would not fall into this trap.   Age range for Model Team

This is interesting: 1989 - 1993 catalogs show the age range as 9 and up. 1994 - 1996 catalogs show the age range as 9 - 16. 1999 S&H catalog shows the age range as 9+ I don't have any other catalogs :-))) The box for 5571 shows the age range as (...)   RE: Robotic Ants [Challenges for multiple robots]

Andre and David: I would prefer the IR beam not be used for a scent trail since the scent trail for ants works in the absence of the ant that laid it. However I think using the IR beam is easier. We have five issues - finding the food, laying the (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
