| | | | | I want to start in Train theme, I am not sure how to start, for example,
may I need to buy trin motor, I read some information that people use
technic motor to build train; I want to use RCX to control train, do I
still need speed regulator? Then, except train can be moved, all other
cars (truck, crane and so on) also motorized?

Ok first selcome to the trains of lego. What you will need to do is first
by a train set which includes everything. Next if your want to control the
train by RCX visit Matts Train Depot located to you left on the screen.
Here there are train ideas. The use a lego cataloge to find sets with good
parts and build your own be creative. If you are going to the RCX
controlled train, you will need to research in depth at the train sites to
your left on the screen. No one has really gotten into the RCX controlled
train so you may be a pioneer in the subject(to my knowledge)
hope that can help you vist lego.com to order lego sets online. Or
write/call the lego group for a catolog.

| Dude, I can barely understand what you wrote, and English is my *first*
language. If you want to be helpful, you are going to have to take a little
time and proofread your posts, provide links (
http://www.ngltc.org/train_depot/index.htm ) when suggesting a site to visit,
check your spelling, and evaluate the overall coherence of what you just
wrote, because what you have just advised poor Zhengrong is bordering on
comical.
I don't mean to discourage you, but to encourage you to consider twice whether
you have something meaningful to contribute and if so, take some time and do
it right. Otherwise, it's just a waste of bandwidth.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | You can control a LEGO train via an RCX. If you are going to go this route
make sure you have a 1.0 RCX version. This version has a AC Adapter
connection on it. This is very useful if you are just going to have the RCX
stationary (as is the case of controlling a train). I've been working on
some code to have an RCX control a train. Currenlty, my RCX are doing
collision avoidance of trains. Visit my site www.geocities.com\jedi_agh to
see what I mean.
The idea I have for controlling a train via an RCX is as follow.
1) Use input 1 to start/stop train (start train @ medium speed)
2) Use inpiut 2 to cycle thru all speed (begin at normal --> highest -->
stop --> slowest speed --> normal)
3) Use input 3 to make train engine noise
4) Use only 1 output to control the train
Hope this helps you out.

I noticed that you're from Japan, perhaps the East Japan LEGO train club can
help you:
