| | | | | Once a year the Malkara School has a Model Railway exhibition as their major
fund raising event. I have again been invited to exhibit my Lego trains
(Bodville).
Its quite an interesting outing to drag the kids along to, so if your near
Garan on the first weekend of August (4th & 5th) drop in.
I have a Bodville website with lots of pictures and movies from years gone by.

Hope to see you there.

Sounds like a great event! What are the admission charges?
Ive been involved in a similar type of model railway exhibition for about 12
years, they can be a good fund raiser, and are a great way to introduce people
to the hobby.
X-posted to .loc.au for good measure.

To be honest I dont really know, they let me in for free......lol
I am lucky in that the mindstorm runs all the trains, so it gives me plenty of
time to talk to people. The usual I didnt know LEGO made trains, comes up
quite a bit even amongst AFOLs.
But the public love the big colourful fast LEGO trains. No need to sing its
praise here either.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The first movie is on brickshelf

Or YouTube

Just a time lapse movie of the setup, more to come.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The story behind this video starts with me wining an Ebay auction for a
MindStorm set for a sweet price. My Uncle opened the set for the first time the
night before Malkara to get him in a Lego mood.
A couple of hours later he had the robot made that you see in this movie. The
airport was setup by a close friend of mine but he had to leave for work before
Malkara finished up on Sunday.
The robot was not built specifically for destruction but if we had to box
everything anywhere, we might as well have some fun first.
Warning: Not suitable for persons with weak Lego hearts.
