Hi all,
After seeing Jeramy Spurgeons excellent EMD NW2 I decided to have a look at some US switchers (as a quick glance at my
trains folder will tell you I dont often do stuff from NA) to see if there were
any I liked. Sure enough I saw the lovely black and dark red SEABOARD livery on
a nifty VO-660. Anyway, here it is

The side handrails are nicked blatantly from Jeramys train.
In terms of construction, the cab is a bundle of snot but the most fun part was
doing the front grille
(1 and
2).

Tim,
Theres a lot to like about this engine! I really dig the livery, but it is your
headlight design that I like most. A very clever and sleek look (with that 1x3
slope behind it). I also noticed those axes on your wheel coverings. Slick!

Very nice, Tim. Takes me back a few years when I was WAY into building
switchers. With all of the new colors and elements available these days, it is
worthwhile to revisit them. Actually, Ive one half-finished sitting on my
shelf of half-built MOCs. Someday...
Good schleiming!
