Train Poster (maybe for sale)

Hi All,
I printed the main train poster at 18"x24" and it is really cool. I even
gave a couple away as Christmas gifts. But I don't believe many of you have
access to large format printers, and bring this image on a CD to a copy
center would cost a ton to print, so...

Jeroen has agreed to let me offer his main train poster for sale. I did some
research and found that a small run of ~150, on an 4 color offset printer,
at 18"x24", on nice glossy thick poster paper, will cost about $400.  I
think I can sell ~40 of these and thus cover my expenses if I sell it for
$9.50ea + ~$3.50 shipping ($3.50 will cover a small quantity).

What is the interest level here?
Do clubs want to buy larger quantities for resale???
*** Your comments will determine my actions! So pls reply to this or me
directly. If there is little responce I'll just table it.

BTW I'm not doing this to make any real money. I'm sure it will be more
hassle that any extra cash made above my costs. This is truly a great poster
but I got a feeling I'll be left with many, there just aren't that many of
us! :(

Dwayne and I discussed this and we would use BricWorx for selling the posters.

I'd want one personally and would pay that price although it is a LITTLE
spendy. But i'm a fanatic. I think for clubs to have some to sell at shows,
the sell point at the show would have to be closer to 5 USD meaning you'd
need to sell them to the club for a skosh less than that if they took 10-20
of them...

Good idea, it's a great poster.

What do you think LEGO would think of us selling such a poster at shows? I
know they had a problem when some one was selling shirts with classic space
minifigs, so I'd think they'd be a bit concerned about a poster with their
train designs.

Please put me down to purchase one.  I imagine there might be some others in
NC interested also.  I will send the info through our NCLTC mailing list and
see what happens.

Hi Steve,

I'd be interested in one, as part of Holger's shipment to Germany.

However, I'm missing 4541 on the poster. Has it been left out for a reason
or was it just forgotten?

Best regards,
Torsten

The 4541 is on the 2nd last line, in the middle.
The thumbnail image for the posters just hasn't been updated yet I guess.
Play well.

Thanks everyone for publicly responding!

As for the legal issues, per my request it is being reviewed by LEGO.

Also, today I found out that to get a 18"x24" print done at Kinko's is
$18.00ea. so $9.50 for a print seems reasonable. It also seems reasonable to
offer a bulk discount. Many club members and non US AFOLs are interested in
multiple copies. I'll keep everyone posted.

FYI Kinkos offers a lamination for 18"x24" for $4.50 and its nice!
