The firetruck and fire station are already at the LEGO Store in Tyson's Corner.
Sort of unexpected, and I couldn't find them online anywhere, but they are
there.

The fire trucks are really neat! The police van is sad, compared to the 03
Police sets :-(

Very cool: Chromed fire helmets! Prototypical of European fire helmets?
Cant tell if they are chromed silver, or gold though.

They are silver, but not as shiny as the chrome pieces. Its more of a matte
silver.

Is it similar silver to e.g. the wheels on the 8448 Super Street Sensation?

I hope these come to America, looks like Lego actually has very good ideas this
time!

Does anyone know what the sets are priced at? (Specifically the Fire Truck and
Fire Station)?
Thanks in advance.

Outside of some special promo sets, LEGO has long ended "Europe/US-only" sets.
The new fire sets have already been spotted in certain LEGO-operated stores in
the US.

Since I'm at work and this is related.
We had (we sold out of the few we got already) the fire truck 7239 and the
station 7240 at $19.95 USD and $29.95 USD, respectively.

Please note that the police officer next to the dog in the HG set should
feature the new light minifig light system (press his head and get light)
Hey sounds like they took a page out of Rob Hendrixs book. So now they have
lights in mini-figs hands? hmmmmm.

The LEGO Store at the Rockaway Mall in NJ has both the new fire truck 7239 and
the new fire station 7240.
I couldn't resist buying a 7239 set since it's one of the most realistic looking
fire trucks I recall LEGO ever producing (this is the point where the Town
experts flame me with references to superior fire truck sets from LEGO years
long gone by ;-). I figured it would fit in with my train layout. I was
surprised to find "5+" on the box and the picture of a very small child on the
back playing with it. It's 214 pieces and looks somewhat detailed. Maybe looks
are deceiving and it's actually pretty juniorized. I won't know until Christmas
since it's going under the tree along with the rest of the family gifts.
Cheers,
Paul D.

I found both at the Valley Fair Lego store in San Jose, CA. The Fire Truck is
not juniorized much. Just the base of the truck and base of the ladder. In
addition to having 2 red, 2 trans yellow and 6 trans blue 1 X 1 X 2/3 Slope
Tiles there were two each of two new parts I have never seen before. There are 8
of the new fenders also. I am writing this from memory as I am somewhere else
from where the fire truck is. In fact I am thinking about getting two more to
part out.

how juniorized? is the truck base 1 piece or multiple large pieces? I noticed
a lot of the new town vehicles in these pics have the same wheel configuration,
but different distances apart.
Thanks

You can make the truck base with five plates. Going front to back 4 X 5 Plate
with one row of studs on a 6 X 6 plate which is one row of studs under a 4 X 7
plate with a 1 X 6 plate on each side of the 6 X 6 plate. This is all one piece.
The roof is a 6 X 4 rounded Tile. The rest is regular bricks, plates, slopes,
panels, and small speciality pieces.
Hope this helps,
Bruce

Any one tried to reformat the fire truck to 4-wide yet? Is it possible? The
set looks incredible, but I don't know if I can bring myself to buy one if it
won't reproduce in 4-wide.
