        1 motor 2 speed transmission —Amnon Silverstein
     Here is a transmission I've been working on. It has two forward speeds 5:1 and 1:3. If you run the motor one way, you get forward low gear. If you run the motor the other way, you get forward high gear. I am using a differental to split the two (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

     Hey, Check out my page www.lcs.net/users/oglewood/ Go under "lego Ideas" and click on the two speed transmission. Also, I have tried it with four speeds (R-1-2-3) but it gets too big after that.      (...) ratios both between input and sliding axle and between sliding axle and output, it is relatively easy to increase the number of speeds - though at some point, one will need an axle connector in the rather long slding axle.
