    transmision help... Anyone? —Geordan Ballantree
HI, I don not have either of the superacars and am longing to be able to make a transmission but can't without the spiecal parts given in the 8880 and 8448. Does anyone know of a way to make a transmision with out those parts? Thanks Geordan (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

1 motor 2 speed transmission —Amnon Silverstein
Here is a transmission I've been working on. It has two forward speeds 5:1 and 1:3. If you run the motor one way, you get forward low gear. If you run the motor the other way, you get forward high gear. I am using a differental to split the two (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

I just finished a recreation of your transmission. Great piece of engineering. Thanks for sharing your work. I hope I can work this into one of my machines. -- Bob Fay rfay@we.mediaone.net The Shop (URL) Silverstein" <amnon@best.com> wrote in (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

Hey, Check out my page www.lcs.net/users/oglewood/ Go under "lego Ideas" and click on the two speed transmission. Also, I have tried it with four speeds (R-1-2-3) but it gets too big after that. Hope that helps! Adam "Bob Fay" <rfay@we.mediaone.net> (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)

This is another nice piece of work. I did not understand it until I downloaded the Dat file and opened it. Very nice! This is another useable design. Thanks for posting it. A top view would be really cool on your website. -- Bob Fay (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic)
