B.I. Joe: S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor —Gil Shaw
Greetings, Just a small addition, and for once it's actually scifi-ish! The original mecha bad boy from the early (1983) toyline and first miniseries for you old geezers out there: (URL) It's pocket-sized diabolicalness...ness. Cheers, -Gil (20 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) It was the first Joe thin I never got. (torrent of tears) Thanks! -G (20 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: B.I. Joe: S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor —David Laswell
(...) OMG! It's so cute and cuddly looking! You know, for being so chock full of diabolical evilness and such. I was actually looking through YoJoe.com's archives the other day, and I thought it would be amusing to see this built, but there's the (...)          Re: B.I. Joe: S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor —Gil Shaw
(...) Thanks! Yep...I opted to go the robot route for all those reasons. All those vehicles are on the to-do list....stay tuned! Cheers, -G (20 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: B.I. Joe: S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I think you captured the look nicely. But when you say "early" what do you mean? I seem to recall the first Joe was Barbie sized... (some of my friends (in the mid 60's this was) had them and their sisters were always wanting them to be made (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: B.I. Joe: S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor —Chris Giddens
(...) Um, he said 1983. He means the early years of the 1983 toy line and the first of the smaller sized Joe figures from 1983. See he said 1983. Not the dolls... but action figures, in 1983. That's what he ment. (Info taken from the Department of (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: B.I. Joe: S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Thanks for clearing that up! I read it as "1983 is early in the line" ... (...) There's a depressing thought. Either someone with funnybuns (Leia) or someone who could beat you up if you made a false move. (20 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) I once knew someone with funnybuns who beat me up because I pointed them out. Dave! FUT lugnet.humor.sophomoric (20 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: B.I. Joe: S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor —David Laswell
(...) Not true! Scarlett ('82) was in the very first wave of 4" Joes, and as the line progressed Cover Girl ('83) and Lady Jaye ('85) were added. For those who liked 'em dressed in black leather, there was always the Baroness ('84). And for those (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hehe...thanks! Dr. Mindbender has a subroutine that permits hugs. He's an odd fellow - but the purple cape and big honkin' medallion likely clued us in to that fact already. Cheers, -G (20 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
