Heres a couple of small mocs Ive made recently.
The first took far too long to make for its size. It started as an attempt to
model Danger Mouses Space hopper, but became something almost entirely
different. What it did become is a SNOT nightmare, and I almost wasnt going to
post it here, but I figured its at least an interesting study in snot
technique. So, heres my version of the
Space Hopper
Second is a little hover
race car that was seeded from a small snot assembly that came together last
night. Im a little annoyed that I coulndt get a complete figure in there, but
I like it anyway.

I really liked the Space hopper. Im still trying to figure out how it all is
held together. I also really like the yellow and black color scheme with gray
accents. I have yet to be able to figure out how to use yellow as a primary
color without it overpowering the whole model. You know, if you rebuilt the
hopper using white and blue, it would make a good PCS scout ship.
The hover racer is also cool, though it looks like it needs a more aerodynamic
windscreen. Also lots of good SNOT building here.
Thanks for sharing,
drc

Allister, these are both really nifty little things. Id love to play with the
both of them, just to swoosh them around a bit. I agree with the comment about
the Hopper and its PCS potential. Would it be possible to see such an attempt?
Or you can go to the evil end of the spectrum and try an Eastern Block color
scheme.
I think the hover race car is my favorite of the two. The hinged portions are
what clinch it for me. I love moving parts on models, and on such a small
creation I just have to give you props for making it look cool.
Looking forward to more!

Great little PCS ship. With all the 3vil popping up in space, we could use
Dangermouse! (space)Crumbs, Chief!

Mmmmm...slope goodness. I like making odd piece studies, & this looks like it
came out really well for you. I find these types of challenges, like fitting
the whole fig, are just serendipitously prolonging the fun building experiences,
and makes my MOCs better in the end.

Me too. Like I said, its all a bit of a snot nightmare more or less assembled
at random. Its a credit to Lego that the connection points under the front
ended up in exactly the right position.

Thanks. I agree on the windscreen, but I didnt want to use a bigger one. The
snot on this is much more straight forward, althought it did use my entire
supply of type 1 headlight
clips (8).

They are both eminently swooshable, although the hopper is a tad fragile.

Im sure the Jr. Marshall would be deeply offended at the assumption that
communism=evil.

Thanks Ryan. Moving parts are cool. I always think I should do it more often,
but rarely do.

Heres an image of the snot assembly mentioned above. The headlight clips are
the type 1 ones with the thin band between the opposing studs, which makes the
entire thing exactly 1 stud deep.
I hope this is useful to someone.

(oops. just noticed that the two white 1x1s should have been a single 2x1, but
either will work)
