I tried a version of this last year with my advent calendar for my
niece. She got the big castle set (in 24 sections) with a princess
added in one of the two towers. It was quite popular, but I can't say
for sure that it wouldn't have been popular, even without the princess.
Play well,

Hello,
I am in search of a pair of Scala table top halves
http://peeron.com/inv/parts/33088?color=LtOrange that orignated from this
Peeron did not show any associated Bricklink stores, for
either the set or the part. Does anyone have any information as to their
availability? Or anyone have any they would like to eliminate said items from
their collection?
Thanks for your time.

Hi gang. To keep up with the trend of getting to know our Lugnet, I've
decided to take a look around .scala for a day. (and who knows, maybe
longer after looking at some of the greeblies in these sets.)
Thus my first question: does anyone here sell parts from the scala sets.
I'm digging the "pots" that I see in a lot of the houses. The kind of
oblong cylinders. Anyone got some they are willing to part with?
What's exiting in .scala? Who's the big .scala person? Any cool MOCs?

Yeah, imagine if it had the WHOLE turkey rather than just a leg!

Hey, wait a minute! I didn't claim Primo, I lurk in all groups! (Wish I could
read Italian!) Anyway Primo is Baby stuff-- well, it's been LEGO Baby for a
couple of years anyway. Nope, I would be the queen of Paradisa. And that's
*Paradeesa* BTW!

That's a great set! I've been meaning to post a rave/review of this set for
a few months now. It's one of my all time favorite accessory sets and
definitely the Scala set that I own the most copies of (having been lucky
enough to find some at the Potomac Mills Outlet store that had been marked
down AND had escaped the notice of the AFOL's that work there).
I even started to do this "real" Scala post last night as my penance for
polluting the newsgroup pool. I'll get to it soon - along with the two
dozen other "Top of the List" LEGO-related projects I absolutely must get done.

Cool. So you have your own newsgroup too? Thanks for popping over to help
me boost the stats here in the Scala group. Now GET OUT! This is MY
newsgroup! All Mine! I'm the King of Scala! Ba Ha Ha Ha!

ALWAYS! And when it's no longer fun that's when it stops.

I guess that means I'd better not mention that I've got the only #3110,
Four Animal Friends, currently on Brickl--oops!

Primo is deader than this group. A post I wrote two years ago is still on the
front page.

Whew!

Again, please accept my apologies for the previous commercial message.
Since I've been the only poster to this newsgroup in the last seven months I
honestly thought that no one would mind. Wrong again. Oh well.
Let silence reign once again in the Scala newsgroup.

P.S. For all you hardcore Scala fans out there who have been following the
exciting going-ons in this newsgroup, I'm happy to report that the extra
horses I had found a good home and so have avoided the fate of a trip to the
ABS Glue Factory.

Please excuse this mercantile intrusion into the sleepy silence of the Scala
newsgroup. Hopefully anyone Ive awakened with this message will not be too
grumpily disturbed.
I currently have an auction going on ebay to unload the black horse and its
accessories from the Scala set 3144. I purchased this set to get at some
other pieces and do not have any use for the horse, saddle, bridle/reins,
blanket & straw fabric pieces and foot/head wear. Everything is new and
unused and I will ship the horse in the molded plastic tray it was
originally packaged in.
Heres a link to the auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1708363092
I actually have a few of these horses that Id like to get rid of. If
anyone is interested please feel free to contact me. I do not have any
delusions about receiving a huge sum of money for them. Im mainly looking
to free up space for the storage of my main LEGO collection, so Ill
consider any reasonable offers.
I'd also be willing to do a little horse-trading (sorry, couldn't resist) -
please feel free to request my current Wanted list.
Please help me keep from having to send these poor creatures to some ABS
based glue factory.
Thanks for your time. Once the dust I disturbed has settled in the Scala
newsgroup and the sneezing has stopped, you can go back to sleep.

Happy Thanksgiving One and All!
In a moment of whimsy I decided to take inventory of all the nifty food
elements and servingware that I've collected this year by putting together a
Thanksgiving Dinner layout.
The results of my effort at "slaving away" with the plastic bits can be
found in my Brickshelf folder located at:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=8419
Most of the pictures are fairly small in size but I did post two larger ones
which are the files named dinner2 and table1. The quality of pictures isn't
that great - they were obtained via my VHS-C camera hooked up to my PC
through a USB device.
I'm hoping to get time to make some pictures (or maybe even animated video)
of some figs swarming on the dinner.
For anyone who might be curious all the food elements were obtained from
Belville and Scala sets. I also found some food (particularly bananas!) in
the Shell convenience store set.
Hope you enjoy the pictures. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Greg

Miss seeing posts in Scala. Looks like I am going to have to get rid of my
Sunshine houses. I did and inventory not hard to do as it is all set up.
So many houses and not enough room.

Diana,
I was away on summer break. Of course I'm still into Scala (but I must say I
would be more so if they stopped making those cheap foam pieces). I have no
idea what's new with Scala. I'll try to research on the new releases, but
honestly I don't know where to look.

I don't think this is the place, but my other posts wouldn't go thru.
I tried lego general. Does anyone know where I go to find out how to clean
legos?

Hi Diana..
Have you tried posting this to the lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade group? Your
inquiry might be seen by more folks there. :)
