| Hello again, It is a dutch version of cybermaster software. And it needs to be run on windows 98 or something like that. | Solutions given in previous posts addressed the problems of using Cybermaster software with Win XP only partially. The tour runs but you cannot do anything beyond that. | (...) XP doesn't like the Cybermaster CD because o a compatibility issue with QuickTime. You can still get access to the building instructions though. | As well as using Windows95 Compatibility Mode, you also have to ensure you're running QuickTime 6.4 or lower (or you get startup error 8065006D). Answer: It is simple: I used the prolific usb to serial adapter, configured the Serial communication to 9600,8,n,xon/xoff , took a NULL-Modem Serial Cable and linkt pin 4 and 6 on the 9-pin connector together. At first it was giving a couple of errors but I altered the registry settings (as described for Windows NT in this newsgroup) and then it would play the intro movies fine. But once the (...) The trick is that they NOT in the directory which is installed on your hard drive when you install the software, they remain on the CD so you have to look inside the ISO file. | Cybermaster's firmware's on *ROM* so you're limited to tools that use the standard firmware. That excludes the likes of legOS, pbForth, etc. You can use NQC in Cybermaster "mode" or any other language/tool generating standard firmware byte-codes. (...)
