Err, what's a colo?

Sounds like a cool idea to me. :)  Not that I actually *have* a site, or
anything.

(...) colo is a short for "Co-Location" - basicly you pay someone to put your box on a rack, and get a network connection. maybe someone who can reset the box for you sometimes, but little else. our box, we admin it, just pay for the rack space and (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish)

(...) we use superb.net for peeron - they user apache on solaris, and qmail for their email stuff. they're ok, though, of course, not as good as having your own box to run. maybe a bunch of AFOLs should chip in, get a colo and a server, and host our (...)
