I have a favor to ask of everybody: could you guys post some links to
pictures of cutters? The only things I have been able to find so far are
Frank Filz's Sea Wolves and the pictures from the Pirate Game at Brickfest.
I have recently built some cutters and am about to begin another, so I was
looking for some ideas.
And I promise I'll have pics of my own cutters up soon!
Thanks.

I basically have just built the standard 6277 cutter. I did do one using
the 4 wide space ship hulls. Oh, and then there were the emergency
cutters, all of which you've already seen, but to call out a couple
pictures:
Here's a decent shot of an emergency cutter:

And here's a good shot of the one using the 4-wide space ship hull:

Mine are in such a shambles from my battle-damage happy son that I need to
rebuild them. They look different from the 6277 cutters, so I'll see if I
can get to them this weekend.

"Emergency Cutters." Heh.
"Arrrr...that thar be an emergency cutter."
"How kin ye tell, Cap'n?"
"She be orange n' yellow, with flashin' lights...arrrr."

Those turned out pretty well, although the back-to-back
Belville boats were a bit on the comical side. :) Not
that bumblebee-themed cutters weren't, of course. It was
a great time, and no doubt, it shall be again! (Green and
white Armada cutters, anyone?) I'm of the opinion that the
Imperials ought to be sailing around in cutters, not big
ships as a general rule.
But I need an Emergency Cutter or two, now that I've gone
and done something...drastic this evening:

Q: "But where are the two midship sections?"
A: "In various bins, sorted neatly...*sob*"
_Gloire_ bit the dust yesterday. Today it's the big baby's
turn. I figured it was the only way to ensure I'd *have* to
get off my keester and build something really interesting for
Brickfest.
That, and I really do enjoy actually *eating* in my kitchen.
best
