Just a reminder that the next SMART meeting is only a week away. We'll be
meeting at the Redmond Regional Library at 2pm this Saturday (the 31st).
The mini-challenge is to build a robot to manipulate crates or the small Lego
soccer/basket balls. At the Lego Roadshow and NWBrickCon a number of us built a
bunch of these robots. This is a chance for everyone to get involved. If you're
looking for ideas, we had several forklifts, a train car system, a crane, and a
robot arm that moved crates around. There are many other things you could do
with crates, and other ways that they could be moved around. We also had a ball
combiner and a ball sorter, as well as a crate-dumper that manipulated
individual balls. There are a ton of other things that could be done with the
balls or ways to get balls into or out of crates. If you'd like to read more
