We had a great meeting on April 6th, 2002.  Again at the Retreat Center, which
continues to be a great place for these.

Here is a list of the Attendants:

Tony Hedglen
Jason Spears
Larry Pieniazek
Steven Weiser
Steven Ringe
Chris Leach
Andrew Leach (Chris' Eldest)
Kai Brodersen
Rick Hallman
Spencer Rezkalla
David Kohrman
Stefan Garcia
Amy Hughes

We had one new member Stefan Garcia, who brought a bunch of creations to show
off.  Welcome to the club!

The meeting started at 12:00, I showed up closer to one.  Chris had to leave
early so we plunged right into the business stuff.

In light of Stefan not knowing who everyone was, we all introduced ourselves.
Then we talked a little about the GATS show coming up in Grand Rapids here in
July.  (Details on the yahoo list.) Also mentioned was prehaps a business card
instead of the flyer to hand out at shows.  This would have the webpage
address, a note saying "We do shows" or something to the affect that we are
always looking for more venues to show off our display. Then Steve R showed off
the new table design and everyone agreed it was better than the old, and just
what we want.  Steve has offered to host the building party as his place.  He
is looking at an early May date for that.

Creations:

David brought along his wonderful Michigan theater:

Spencer had his impressive skyline with:

Stefan had a wide assortment of creations to show:

Steve R had the tables, showing off how the connect to one another, the splash
guards, and an accessary tray:

And perhaps more importantly he showed his impressive 8wide Santa Fe:

Rick had some of his space creations with:

Steve 3 gave us a preview of his current project:

After all that, Larry broke out 20 copies of 8437, and we helped him sort.

After which was the prize (payoff) giveaway, which personally I got away with a
6244!

All in all, it was a good meeting, we finished up a little early, and headed
over the same sports bar as before.  Note to all: The French Dip is delicous,
just make sure to ask for it without the onions.

Jason & All, (...) Indeed. Wish I was there! : ( (...) Indeed. Sorry I missed you being there, I will get your stuff ready for the next one. (...) We can have both, and make them available. No big $$ issues either way. (...) Cool. I will be there! (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)
