EAT IT PORTUGAL!!!!!!   : )P

Easy there, champ.

Not yet... :-P

There are some Portuguese who read LUGNET and I'm sure they
feel badly enough having lost to the lowly Americans.

Not really, no (I speak for me).
I feel bad because we played with a team that ought to have spent more time
on sick leave - they were *dragging* on the field! We deserved to lose, end
of story.

We Americans *don't* take our soccer that seriously, so lighten up, Francis;-)

:-)
We do. It's a national unifier, you'd be surprised how 10 mln people can
change their schedules to watch 90 min of Portugal playing. Parliament has
postponed sessions due to be held during matches, as an example...

/Irony follows:
If someone wanted to invade the country without resistance, all they'd have
to do would be organize a football match with the Portuguese team. A few
armed civilians could easily take hold of military facilities "partout", and
the army personel would not even notice unless the TV was powered off in the
process.
/End Irony

Well, too bad for us. Let's see what follows, I'm more afraid of Korea than
I was (1) from the US.

Pedro

(1) - And still am - my oppinion about the US team is unchanged: good, but
not brilliant.
