For those in the Charlotte, NC area, I found this in yesterdays Charlotte
Observer:

Charlotte's first giant Lego Menorah will be constructed Tuesday (Dec.7),
the first night of Hanukkah, in SouthPark mall near the fountain. The building
begins at 4 p.m., with a menorah lighting at 6 p.m. Donuts and drinks will be
served.
For details, contact Lubavitch of North Carolina at (704)366-3984 or go to
www.ohrhatorahnc.org.

I read this in todays Charlotte Observer:

2-6 p.m. event at the Arboretum Wal-Mart, 3209 Pineville-Matthews Road. Children
can help. Families can participate in a 3- minute building contest and bring
their own Lego creations for Varszegi to evalutate.--

Rather short notice, seeing as it starts in 2 hours, but hopefully this will be
in time to serve as a 'heads up' for some folks in the Charlotte NC/SC area.

Yep, NCLUG was caught a little out of range, as the primary core of members (at
this time anyways) are in the Raleigh/Durham Area, 3 hours away. But we plan to
have a presense (4 R/D and 2 to 3 from the Charlotte are) there tomorrow with
some great models to show off!

And Erik was at Brickfest 2 years ago and showed off his work with Star Wars and
comic-related models - some really cool stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing him
again.

Just to let all you know, in case you didn't already know.  Lego just opened a
new mall kiosk at the Northwoods Mall in North Charleston.  Nothing new that I
saw though.
