Dear Jake,
I received shipping notification yesterday, as did others.
Please give me the company that unloads freigth containers, gets them through
customs, unpacks containers and ships them to customers, all within 24 hours.
Many compnaies in the US always struggle with the speed of customs, unloading,
etc. How does Lego get this done so fast?
Or... were the sets already in the warehouse (for a while), and was the
information you were told to pass on not entirely acurate....

Its not that anything was incorrect, but that multiple tasks that typically (or
at least often) take longer to come together worked out lighting fast this time
around. When I first posted, the latest data was that we would need until June
to start shipping. It turned out that we were able to start shipping sooner... I
hope you dont mind! :)

Although I do not mind, you did write that the sets ...are on their way to
North America... I do not mind faster shipping, but as I do import stuff for my
lab and as a company rep. as part of my job(s), and deal with customs myself
(tons of paperwork/stamps/etc), I cannot buy it that they were...on their
way.... They must have been in the warehouse already. Of couse I do not mind
shipping sooner, but I am just interested in the workings of the company, do
they write up what you can communicate to us, do you get some facts and are
expected to write with limited knowledge, or is it even a PR plot to say look
how fast we are...:)

Nope. Ive written every word (minus the S@H product descriptions) youve seen
me post on LUGNET for my 4+ years Ive been posting.
I apologize for any misunderstanding. I just meant they are on their way to your
house, (shipping, unpacking, customs, etc.), not that they were at the moment of
writing on a ship in the ocean. My mistake in communication.
Boy, Im really in the hot seat these days...even the good news gets me in
trouble!

Yup! I was thinking when I read your post of a big Maersk blue ship with Maersk
blue containers carrying Maersk blue ships with white and grey containers, when
I was made rudely aware that they are already in a plain brown boxes in nasty
brown UPS trucks!!
Of course this is good news!!
Thanks,
Paul

Nah. Youre not in trouble for this. I damn near jumped out of my skin with
excitement when I got my tracking numbers this morning. Besides, I think Paul is
just trying to get information from you. At least Christian hasnt jumped in on
this part of the thread. Then youd be on the hot seat (big grin). Personally I
think you have a lot of very excited people over this entire deal. And since my
sets should be here on a Friday, Ill crack the case...and a case of beer, and
build and drink in your honor. Id send you one, but the ATF would probably
arrest me and confiscate my ships.....
Build on.
