  Interesting Lego bricks, and a question to the historians
 
Hello all! Today I received a very nice gift (as 'payment' for my BlockCAD program) - three _very_ old Lego bricks. They came in a letter from Denmark, and the sender writes (Translated by me from Danish) "The bricks are about 50 years old, some of (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.general)

11 of these old bricks are just going "sold" on ebay.de. I would post a link to the auction with picture, but it will disappear soon (I could pull the picture URL out of the page source, but I'm guessing this isn't kosher?) Anyways, the lot consists (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.general)

She belives they are from the beginning of 1950, as that matches (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) 1949, but I am not exactly sure when the "slotted" bricks ended production. I have a 1957 set #700 (wooden box with contents), and all of the bricks are without the tubes on the bottom, but they also are without the slots on the sides. The (...) (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.general)
