Hello all,

I'm proud to announce my first Castle MOC, which happens to be CCC-compatible:

PLMKWYT! I know it's rather simplistic, but my collection is rather limited
(and I'm not that good at freehand Castle MOC's). I also don't have but two
castle minifigs, so I had to improvise. :)

Hi Mike,

I like your gate.  The plates on top of the crenelations is interesting.  Your
minifigures and gate give a colonial fort impression.  I like it either way.

Thanks Ben. My collection of white minifigs is limited, so the gate remains
a rather weak spot in any city. More archers above would be nice, but I
could only find one crossbow and one bow. Oh well.

Unfortunately the way it turned out it's only half ccc-compatible. If you
count, there's an extra brick height above the walkway. I wanted some extra
protection for my spearmen, but as a result any wall units connecting will
need some slopes or similar to join the crenelations smoothly.

Thanks,
~Mike

Not simplistic....

...simplicity. A big difference. You've managed to use limited parts to convey a
big idea, and you've done it well. Sometimes bigger is not always better, and
the beauty of Lego is that a lot can be communicated with a few pieces.

Thanks for sharing, and keep improvising too -- from such are great ideas born.

Mike,

Nice shape to the gates.  The white makes it look like it's built of marble.

Hey Mike,

Pretty good for improvisation. I have the same problem. I have a few Dragon
Masters torsos and one wolfpack, one bull and one oddball I forget the faction
of. Its the same with shields.

Cheers,

Joshua
