Ice Knights:  white-uniformed figs armed with the trans-blue spears, they
live to the north of the continent using arctic baseplates and polar
bears.

I had a similar idea when I saw those wonderful trans-blue spears that will be
coming out soon.  Also, you could use clear (trans-white?) helmets with a black
visor, and maybe a silver breastplate, to make a truly icy look.  And don't
those dark gray peasant shields come in some trans-colors?  I'm pretty sure
there were some trans-red ones in some old space sets....  If those come in
clear or trans-blue they could make fantastic ice shields.

Dark Elves:  The forestmen with the black markings on their torsos with
old black-belt green-leg space police lower bodies, yellow hands, black
feathers on their brown hat, and black arms.  They are expert assassins,
using the aquazone knives, and crossbows.  I made their forest out of
black tree elements, going for a dark and swampy feeling.

I'm curious:  what heads do you use for these guys?

The shields in question did indeed come in trans-white (clear) in some old
Space sets, but those will probably be *very* hard to come by... there were
two in set 452/894 Mobile Tracking Station, from 1979. I don't recall any
more, but then again, there are a lot of sets I don't have. *grin*

I THINK that they might have come in trans-red as well, no?  That might make for
some sweet fire shields as well ... Dang - so many posibilites.  I need to go
home and work on characters alone - there is a project in itself.

By they way - if any of you get a chance, post some pictures of them and I will
try to do the same.  We all have great imaginations, but seeing is trully
appreciating (although some of your descriptions were very, very good ... )

Yeah, I won't even *try* to speculate what I might to with them, I'll just get
disappointed - I don't have these :-)

I have some newly taken pics from my blue army - the first in a line of (I
hope) many more. I think I'm going to get some sets over the weekend (I'm
going to TCS, anyone wanna join?) so I hope to find more stuff for the army. I
don't think you could call it an army - it's a tiny troop, consisting of six
unmounted warriors and three mounted knights, plus a magician on Pegasus...

I'm still trying to set up a site but I'll try to do it fast - It will
motivate me to work harder :-)

The trans red shields are more common than the clear shields, as they
were available in more, newer, smaller classic Space sets.  Still neither is
very common.
