I know that there is someone out there with a list/database but I do not
know
who it is.

LUGNET itself, I think, has such a database.
Don't know how complete it is, but get there by going to Home, then look at
the yellow area. Where it says "reference", the second item is "browse sets".
It is categorized and easy to use.

Good luck!

That is all well and good but I need one that is all in one file that I can
browse offline and also there are gaps in the db.

Jonathan, try here:

http://www.lugnet.com/pause/lists.html

(Also accessible by clicking "Pause Guide" on the LUGnet main page under
Reference, then on "Set Lists".)  They are lists generated from the LUGnet main
database.  I suggest grabbing the list by theme (bytheme.txt) and stripping
away the themes you don't need.  It may have gaps, but it's the best we've got
- and it seems to have something updated every time I look at it, which might
be daily.  Hope this helps.

Cheers, Heather

My Castle listing (with my sale prices) can be found from either of the
web pages in my sig.  It is a complete list, except for the new 2000 sets
and the Weetabix Castle (I don't know the number) and set 1680, which we
discussed in this very newsgroup a few months ago.  Here is the direct
link...
http://www114.pair.com/ig88/lego/listc.htm
(the list is actually two pages, and there is a link to the second page at
the bottom)

I thought I sent you a picture of this Castle before?  The Weetabix
(sp.?) Castle
came out in the late 60s or early 70s (of the 1900s, mind you).  I don't
think it had a set number (not to my knowledge).  It is one of the coolest
looking castles ever, with red walls, white corners, of which one corner has
a blue roof, a big yellow living space, tons of classic windows and
absolutely no gigantic prefab pieces.  like the Yellow Castle, it is "very
pure Lego."
   BTW - Happy New Year!
