I would expect parts that show up in Maersk Blue to have color 16 encoded in the file, and the user to select Maersk Blue as the parts' color when building a model. Since (...) (...) I don't know if I got that right. Isn't Maersk Blue one of those part colors most wrongfully and misleadingly labeled as a "dithered" color? (...) (...) Well, actually there are two forbidden zones; the small at colors 29 through 31 and the large at 48 to 255. Color numbers within those ranges generate errors if used in L3P and L3Lab. (...) Oooo, no they are not. The one on LDraw.org contains a bottom subsection of newer colors—such as flesh and Maersk blue but not Trans Orange—which are not part of the standard distribution.   Yet Another Color List
 
As if there weren't enough of color lists, I've also made one myself.. This one is from an L3 user's point of view, that is L3Lab and L3P. So far, it lists colors from ldconfig and Lugnet Color Images Guide, but I may add other sources. For a user (...) (17 years ago, 15-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.color)

Hi, I have some questions about all those colors. I am using BrickSmith on Mac, I do not know if MLCAD does offer more colors. Bricksmith is missing the newer transparent dark orange and medium blue colors and some rarely used solid ones as bluish (...) (17 years ago, 3-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad)
