On the same day that Brickshelf went down Kevin's LPub site has also
disappeared.
Anyone know what happened and where LPub 4 can now be downloaded?

Thanks,

Duq

No, I sent an email to Kevin some time ago when I discovered that his domain
name was no longer active - no answer so far.

People are asking about this on Flickr as well:

I hope all is well in the LPub world, too. I see Kevin has posted to Lugnet
within the past few weeks, so hopefully he'll see this and reassure us that LPub
lives!

Hi gang,
My web hoster has gone belly up.  I'm working on getting a new website up and
going this week.

Cool. :)
For some reason, LPub is displaying no text at all (no button captions, labels,
etc - http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/arezey/ldraw/lpub4-blank.png). Probably
has something to do with me using WINE on it. Would it be possible to have a
Linux version, perhaps.. ?

I have read in the internet about problems with intel grafic cards. Maybe this
is also your problem.

Possible?  Well, if you know how to use a patch, you can have it running on
Linux today.  I did a port back in June, but my current patches are here:
http://retracile.net/wiki/2009/10/10/16.45
(If you use ldglite as the renderer, you need the latest version from source
control.)

Feedback welcome, especially from Windows and Mac users -- I want to be sure
these patches don't break anything on other platforms.

(Oh, and Kevin, I would like to see Linux support make it upstream... :) )

Hi Eli,

Your site currently uses a self-signed certificate. If you're going to use
https, you really should invest in a valid certificate from a CA, so that
security twonks (like myself) can access your site. I'm not prepared to trust
any self-signed certificates unless I have issued them myself :/
