As far as I can see there is no software available that counts the real
used parts in an MPD-File.
The problem is caused if a model is used more than once in another model.
Are there any user out there who has solved this problem by software? I
do not want to put my hand on any step in the counting process.

If there is no one that has such a tool are there other users who also
need such a tool?

Any comment is appreciated.

(...) Hi Michael, If you have a Peeron account you can use the Try to Build an MPD option from the menu. That gives the correct part count. Tim (18 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.cad)

(...) I think BrikTrak MPD import also counts the parts correctly. But a nice simple tool would be nice. Hmmmmm. (18 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.cad)

(...) I usually just export the steps (File | Export...) of the .mpd using MLCad. The last step file of the main model will be a 'flat' ldr file that has all the individual parts. Generate the parts report from that file and you're done. Seems to (...) (18 years ago, 8-Feb-06, to lugnet.cad)
