I have written a fairly simple Excel macro that reads the report file generated
by Extras|Reports|Parts... in MLCAD. I used this as it is self-contained (it
includes all part references, colors and descriptions whereas the .MPD file does
not).
It's been used by a couple of folks and has proven itself with multi-part models
in excess of 12,000 parts, some with submodels several layers deep.
If you are interested then drop me an e-mail - I'd like to have a couple more
people give it a whirl before I make it more public.
