It is about time somebody imortalized Robert Duval in Lego form. Great movie,
great vignette Prof, but without the standardized footprint, is it really a
vignette? In any event, it is cool and a nice tribute to THX.

Ok, Im an idiot, I see the footprint...but shouldnt the police uniforms be
black? And werent the visors silver? Dont hit me with your baton Prof.

Hey Prof,
Ive never seen the movie, so I wasnt sure I liked the extreme whiteness, until
I did a quick google search and saw the inspiration:
I think you captured that scene perfectly.

I just saw it tonight too, crazy! What did you think? I thought it was
great, even if I'm going to have to watch it again to try and understand
anything. Seeing BART in there was a treat. :)
Now I want to re-do my apartment again. And put in announcements that are
constantly and quietly echoing off the walls. In espiranto.
Oh that was Gattaca.

Im sure it was a momentary lapse, but well adjust your prescription just in
case. The uniforms were indeed black, but the visors were small and black like
the beak of a cap, and the masks were silver. I still await the production of a
chrome-plated minifig head... Ive added some builders notes to the MOC page to
save further explanation.
Oh, and I wouldnt think of tainting my baton in such a manner...

It was even better than I'd expected, and I knew it was a classic. There were
some great moments of humour, too. BART was almost completed when they filmed,
so they had access to things they could never get to now. Talk about being in
the right place at the right time.

Thanks Bruce,
That featureless white expanse was a striking image from the movie. Few
directors could go there and pull it off. It seemed the perfect thing to take an
8x8 chunk out of to depict as a vignette. The
one pic of just the base could be any scale, and that led me to think of the
solitary scene in a new way. So now I bring you the smallest vignette thus far:
The 2x2 THX1138 vignette. Minimalism to the max.
